About Gemma Fulton

In my role as the Finance Lead (Chartered Accountant) I work across all aspects of the organisation. I am a strong leader and am passionate about all areas of my work, which encompasses end to end financial management and reporting, management of audit process, government procurement, carbon reporting and many cross team collaborations. My 10 years of accounting experience has been predominantly within the government space. I am responsible for all of the organisations finance functions. In my time at Te Ara Ahunga Ora I’ve also taken on the roles of procurement lead and the lead for sustainability reporting and am proud to have taken the organisation on the journey of becoming Toitu carbonreduce certified. I thrive in a people based environment, enjoying collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. I balance all of the day to day tasks that come with working in a small-medium organisation. Chartered member of CAANZ with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) focused in Accounting, Economics and Commercial Law from Victoria University of Wellington.
