About Gemma Maris

I’m a passionate and learner-focused professional with a strong background in supporting Level 7 Accountancy and Taxation apprentices through complex, high-stakes professional qualifications. In my previous role at Kaplan, I worked closely with learners, employers, and stakeholders to guide progress, navigate challenges, and ensure success across both academic and workplace performance. My approach has always centred on building meaningful relationships, understanding individual contexts, and creating structured, supportive pathways that enable people to thrive.I’m now excited to have joined Reed Business School, where I continue to support learners in achieving their professional goals. This role allows me to deepen my focus on learner experience, coaching, and personalised development—ensuring each individual feels supported, challenged, and capable of success.I’m particularly interested in how we balance performance, wellbeing, and compliance within professional education, and how we can create environments where learners feel genuinely engaged—not just managed.I care deeply about the impact of what I do, and I’m proud to play a part in helping individuals progress in their careers and realise their potential.
