About Gemma McCarthy

I have a 1.1 honours degree in Interior Architecture which is an award winning course at Cork Institute of Technology. The array of skills and industry focused modules at CIT has helped me hit the ground running as part of an interiors team. I am diligent and hard working and have good customer service skills which I have also gained from other working experiences. I am reliable, a team player and driven by hard work. I am focused under pressure and understand the importance of meeting deadlines for projects and clients as this is an essential part of working in the design world. I am hoping to build a happy and successful career in this industry. Summer 2012 I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to work in an architectural practice, Wilson Architecture, Cork. It broadened my outlook of the architectural world and allowed me to watch, work and become productive in a successful practice. It gave me a taste of what working in a practice was like and has motivated me to seek quality practice experience.
