Background

About Gemma Newbold

I’m a strategic thinker and problem-solver with 15+ years in soft services and facilities management at Airbus UK. I currently lead catering strategy and operations nationally, managing a large contract and delivering large-scale tenders, while also stepping into a senior role not yet officially recognised. I bring together operational know-how with innovation—introducing digital solutions, predictive modelling from helpdesk data, and forward-thinking ideas like robotics in cleaning and catering. I’ve led projects that shape the future of facilities, from post-COVID response planning to designing outlets in new-builds. While my official title is Soft Services Lead, I’ve quietly taken on responsibilities well beyond that—leading across multiple sites, driving national strategy, and being the escalation point for critical services. I believe in doing the job well before asking for recognition—but I’m now ready for a role that truly reflects the impact I bring. Whether it’s tender strategy, operational transformation, or FM innovation, I deliver with integrity, clarity, and results. Let’s connect if you’re looking for someone who’s already thinking two steps ahead.
