About Gemma Watts

I am a hardworking and dedicated individual that can work well in both a team and on my own. Throughout my working life my employers have always considered me to be trustworthy, reliable and capable of dealing with all situations in a levelheaded and logical manner. I am a quick and eager learner. As you will see from my employment history, I moved quickly from Junior Billing Assistant to Billing Supervisor. I was fortunate enough to enjoy extended Parental leave after having my first child. During this time, I studied interior design and gained a diploma in personal training and sports massage. I ran a successful personal training business for a year. Reflecting on of my new career, and the fact my children were both now, in full time education, I decided to pursue my career in finance again. I secured a Job with HS1 Ltd in as part of the finance team. During my time at HS1 I completed my level 3 in Accounting Technician Training and was promoted to Accounts Payable/Receivable Manager. My family and I moved to Australia in 2019 and have been operating a successful cafe in Geelong since 2020. My role within the business is varied, from Waitstaff, Barista, Manager, HR, Payroll & Bookkeeper, as well as dealing with customer feedback. I enjoy physical activities and have completed Half Marathons, the London Marathon and various Triathlons in the UK and Australia. I like to push my boundaries and take on new challenges. I am confident and competent in all that I set my mind to. Since living in Australia, I have completed my Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping. I am currently halfway through completing my studies for a Diploma in Accounting.
