About Gene Jacobson

My Washington University education prepared me for my very first job after graduation - I luckily took a position in June 1986 as a Mortgage Officer. I discovered that I love helping home buyers and homeowners establish their mortgage strategies. In 1988, I became a regular on the "Money Talk"​ live financial advice radio program (550 am Sundays 8-9am FYI). I'm proud to have served the community, helping callers and listeners with solid mortgage advice through the years. In 2016, I retired my post from the program, so I could focus more of my time on my mortgage clients. Interests: Professional musician (trumpet, piano, and guitar). Volunteer 3-5 times a month with various groups, including playing music at Delmar Gardens during meals, driving those with visual impairments to doctor appointments, helping transport homeless families between shelters, mentoring of young adults, and assistance with Junior Achievement.
