About Gene Lyons

I am a 2013 graduate of the Sacred Heart University Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. I am an alumnus of Boston University, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences. I am a certified strength & conditioning coach with experience working locally as a personal trainer as well as a number of unique experiences abroad. I spent a semester in Australia studying under the Manager of Athlete Performance at Sydney University where I worked with a variety of collegiate and professional level athletes with a focus on women’s basketball, men’s track & field, as well as rugby union and Aussie rules football. There I learned to specialize in the development of strength & conditioning programs as well as work intimately with the rehabilitation staff to provide patient-centered, sports-specific regimens to optimize player performance. As a student, I have had clinical experience in a wide range of specialized rehab settings in both MA and CT. I am currently certified in the Graston Technique, Dry Needling, Kinesiotape. I enjoy treating patients using manual therapy, and Mulligan “mobilization with movement” techniques. I will use a variety of clinical examination and intervention techniques based on the most current evidence to identify and treat your limitations in order to maximize your potential.
