About Gene McCoy

Marketing Manager | Storyteller | Award-Winner | Time Traveler (sort of) As the Marketing Manager for Co-Mo Connect, Gene McCoy blends off-the-wall creativity with marketing strategy to bring "Better. Faster. Friendlier Internet." to communities across Missouri. Along the way, he’s earned eight NRECA Spotlight on Excellence awards, proving that hard work, good ideas, and a little caffeine can go a long way. Gene is also one of the proud creators (and the performer) behind Co-Mo's ultra-fast internet spokesperson,"Racing Legend and Time Traveler Chip Thunder," a larger-than-life mascot known for time travel, dinosaur best friends, and helping families discover the power and fun of fiber internet.(And yes, it's filled with every bit of joyful insanity that you would expect.) When he’s not brainstorming campaigns and writing commercial spots, launching video spots, or firing T-shirts out of cannons at concerts, Gene focuses on the roles he values most: husband and father of three beautiful children.
