About Genevieve Trace
Genevieve is the Executive Director of Metro Arts. Prior to taking up this position, Genevieve worked as the organisation's General Manager, and Development and Partnerships Officer whilst attaining her Law Degree from the Queensland University of Technology. Genevieve is driven to create meaningful relationships between the corporate, government and arts sectors, and continues to hone her arts administration skills to this effect. She is inspired by the social egalitarianism offered by community driven contemporary art and enjoys working with Metro Arts artists to achieve this on a daily basis. In a former life Genevieve was a multidisciplinary contemporary performance maker. Genevieve holds a Bachelor of Creative Industries: Drama (QUT) and a Master of Creative Industries: Arts Management and Creative Production (QUT). Genevieve arts industry experience including stage management, producing, curatorial management, directing for performance, lighting design, costume design, performing and facilitating performance workshops/lectures.
