About Genna Weber

In my current role as Open Data and IT Manager at Youthful Cities, I lead development of Youth Data Lab,(https://youthdatalab.youthfulcities.com/en), a platform built to amplify youth perspectives through data storytelling. I transitioned to tech during the pandemic, leveraging my curiosity to rapidly learn full-stack development and take ownership of national-scale platforms within just a few years. I’ve led a cross-functional team of designers and developers to deliver data-driven tools from concept to deployment. As part of a smaller organization with a start-up mindset, I'm highly adaptable and able to work successfully both independently and collaboratively in a remote environment. I care about building tech that serves people, not just users. I value a culture that focuses on what someone can do, not just what’s on paper, with a grounding in ethics, accessibility, and sustainable work-life balance. Looking ahead, I'm eager to deepen my knowledge of AI and cloud technologies to build tools that bridge the gap between data, design, and social impact.
