Guiding Principles Communication: I will fulfill each and every promise I deliver. If an obstacle prevents the delivery of any given promise, I will always communicate in advance that a promise has been delayed. I am committed to open communication, even if it is awkward and uncomfortable. It is not in my nature to stand idle when situations, inadequacies or areas for improvement arise. My “two cents” often come unsolicited and I do my best to ensure that they are delivered in a way that avoids defensiveness and promotes change and acceptance. Pro-Action Vs. Reaction: I strongly believe in pro-action instead of reaction & will take all steps necessary to avoid shortsighted and hasty decisions that lead to bad long term results. To that end, I am a planner and cannot stand, “winging it”. Solution Focused: I enjoy the opportunity to analyze and strategize in an effort to reach a conclusion and solution that can be instituted. I despise bureaucratic processes that thwart creativity, stall decisions and implementation, and ultimately de-motivate those who enthusiastically express ideas for effective forward progress. I am a pragmatic optimist by nature, but discerning and constructively critical. I often play the devil’s advocate. Before attempting to devise a solution to an obstacle, I tend to look at the “big picture” and then pin point specific and measurable actions in order to alter the micro issues that comprise the whole.
