I am a CAD Design Draughtsman with over twenty-seven years of experience, the last fifteen spent on luxury yacht design working at Princess Yachts and Sunseeker. I am driven by my dedication and determination to succeed in producing the best solution possible to any design opportunity. I consider myself as having excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to function well as part of a team. My organisational skills enable me to break down any task into manageable portions (delegating where necessary) and work to tight deadlines. I have a thorough understanding of very high-quality product design along with a good appreciation of designing for efficient volume production. Working in aerospace design for over ten years has given me knowledge of lightweight design and construction methods using various high tech materials. I have 25 years of experience using a range of CAD software including Siemens NX, Solid Edge, AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor. I have good working skills in general office software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Project, Adobe Photoshop, Alphacam Router, and various MRP systems. I have experience working with a number of materials including timbers, composites, marble, glass, Perspex, steels and aluminium alloys. I have a good knowledge of machining and forming methods including cold moulding, RF forming, CNC machining, vacuum forming, resin injection moulding and construction methods including timber jointing, welding, riveting, adhesive bonding and various paint finishing methods and their considerations.
