I am currently the Student Welfare Manager at West Nottinghamshire College where I manage the Welfare team. The team include Support Coaches, Attendance Coaches, Behaviour Coaches, Early Intervention Coordinator, Transition Coordinator, Mental Health Coordinator, College Counsellor, Wellbeing Centre, Student Finance, student placement counsellors, Duty Head Team and Site Security Officer. Our focus is to support some of the most vulnerable young people through life such as care experienced young people, care leavers, young carers, home educated and alternative provider young people, young parents, young people who dont live with their parents and also young people who may have been in trouble with the Police. We also provide mental health support to students. I have also worked with young people for over 36 years as a part time Youth Worker with Nottinghamshire County Council.
