About Geoff Webb

Geoff Webb is the principal of GR Webb Consulting Pty Ltd, a Tasmanian based engineering consultancy providing technical services in Pavement Technology, Infrastructure Asset Management and Maintenance Management. Geoff specialises in Pavement Management Systems (PMS), Road Condition Assessment, Infrastructure Asset Management & Maintenance Management Systems. He is a preferred supplier to ARRB Group Ltd, representing the organisation in Tasmania and having input to its national and international projects. Geoff is also actively involved with technical training nationally through the Centre for Pavement Engineering Education (CPEE) and locally with the University of Tasmania (UTAS). Geoff is a committee member of the Australian Chapter of The Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australasia He is a state committee member of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia (IPWEA) and was a founding Consultant Supporter of the IPWEA National Asset Management Strategy (NAMS.AU) committee. Geoff is an ARRB Associate and a member of the Australian Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA) serving as the current state secretary and technical committee chairman. He has been a contributor to Australian Standards and Austroads committees, has held NATA signatory positions and is the lead presenter for short courses in pavement maintenance and rehabilitation provided by the Centre for Pavement Engineering Education (CPEE). Geoff is presently involved with two projects in China, one in Heilongjiang Province as Specialist Consultant for an Asian Development Bank (ADB) funded project evaluating the effectiveness of pavement maintenance strategies and the implementation of the China Pavement Management System (CPMS), and the other in Jilin Province where he is involved in joint research projects with the Jilin Provincial Communication Department (JPCD).
