About Geoffrey Awinyo

SOC Analyst focused on detection engineering and log analysis, leveraging hands-on homelab experience with Splunk, Elastic, and Sysmon. I design and monitor simulated enterprise environments to understand attacker behavior, test detections, and fine-tune alert logic for improved visibility. With a background in IT support and endpoint management through Intune, I bring a strong foundation in system administration, troubleshooting, and device security. I’m particularly interested in correlating endpoint and network telemetry to identify early indicators of compromise and strengthen response workflows. Currently expanding my skills in threat hunting, log enrichment, and incident triage, while documenting projects and tool walkthroughs on my YouTube channel Script the Technique. My goal is to contribute to a SOC team that values continuous detection improvement and data-driven defense strategies.
