About Geoffrey Kay

I am a experienced ecologist (PhD) with global expertise in ecological measurement, natural capital markets and biodiversity and nature-based carbon. I have worked in a variety of consulting, government, corporate and academic roles in the agribusiness, finance and environmental sectors including with the World Bank, the Australian National University and the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust. I currently spread my time across the following 3 areas (4 if you count being dad to two young kids): 1) Terrestrial ecologist (PhD, 20+ years) with large international experience; leading large (30+ people) teams to build biodiversity and ecosystem values, natural capital and sustained agricultural productivity mainly on privately owned lands 2) Landholder at "Waminda"; a grazing enterprise in the Southern Highlands of NSW creating ecologically responsible produce through a commitment to carbon sequestration and restoration of Critically Endangered woodland ecosystems 3) Solar energy company director with various ventures ranging across small residential to large solar farm development projects I strive to demonstrate excellence in pursuit of environmental outcomes.
