About Geoffrey Munroe

I proudly served domestically and internationally in the United States Marine Corps for 5 years and 4 months with an honorable discharge. After my initial basic, combat, and job training, I served for 1.5 years as a diesel mechanic on Amphibious Assault Vehicles, then volunteered to serve overseas for 3 years as a Marine Security Guard in a prestigious US embassy protection program exclusive to the Marine Corps. During my time in the military, I attained the rank of Sergeant (E-5) as I carried out my duties as a leader with diligence and excellence, earning the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal as well as being awarded the Meritorious Honor Award from the US Ambassador in Berlin, Germany. Throughout my tenure I also received a Certificate of Appreciation as well as Letters of Recommendation from my superiors. After completing my contract in the military, I worked closely with HR in the personnel security field for 5 years as a federal government contractor specializing in processing existing employees and new-hires for background investigations and suitability determination for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (approximately 3,500 government employees) as well as 5 Bureaus of the Department of Interior: BSEE, BOEM, OS, NPS, and OSMRE (approximately government employees and contractors). In 2021, my wife and I relocated from Washington, DC to southeast TN where I worked for over a year in the parts department at Advanced Collision Inc, a privately-owned autobody collision repair shop based in Chattanooga before briefly running an online drop-shipping company. I rejoined the personnel security field in 2023 where I currently work fully remote on a federal government contract responsible for processing existing employees and new-hires for background investigations and suitability determination for the IRS (approximately government employees). I am a professional who applies their skills and experience to their full potential.
