I am an electronics mixed signals hardware designer, supervisor, and project manager with a wide range of contributions to successful products and people. I have found a place to put these talents to work where the result is better people, products, productivity, and company profit. With a background that includes software, mechanical design, analog and digital electronic hardware, schematic capture to PCB layout using Altium and OrCAD, from cost sensitive low end products to 10Gbps optical links, debugging, supervising in-house test and test fixture development, to troubleshooting customer problems on site, managing projects and teams, and guiding design groups. I am a mentor and teaching resource, inventor and productive team member, trouble-shooter, leader, and enthusiastic contributor to teams, projects, products, and the bottom line. I have way too much fun with the above, and I intend to continue doing the same. Mechanical and electrical design considering: durability, creating and testing solid models, 3D printing, design for manufacturing, design for test, design for zero fasteners, design for disassembly, DFMEA, and balance cost-quality-schedule. All of the above applied to creating improved designs for user interfaces, product function, and product features while embracing simplicity.
