About George Cherian

As a Social Worker at Alberta Health Services (AHS), I provide support and guidance to individuals who are suffering from mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or addiction. I work with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals, including doctors, nurses, psychologists, and psychiatrists, to develop and implement effective treatment plans and interventions for each client. I also collaborate with families and community agencies to connect clients with the resources and opportunities they need to improve their well-being and quality of life. I have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Calgary, where I learned the theoretical and practical aspects of social work practice, such as communication, critical thinking, ethics, diversity, and research. I also have a diploma in Youth Care Worker from Saskatchewan Polytechnic, where I gained hands-on experience in working with at-risk youth and families in various settings, such as group homes, drop-in centres and schools. My education and training have equipped me with the skills and knowledge to help people cope with their challenges and achieve their goals. My work ethic is based on my strong belief in a positive attitude towards life and my passion for helping people. I strive to have a positive impact on those around me while maintaining a calm and approachable demeanor.
