About George Dalbo
I am a passionate social studies educator with 15+ years of teaching and research experience. I currently teach courses in the social sciences at Beloit College and Blackhawk Technical College in south-central Wisconsin. Previously, I have taught every grade from 5th-12th in public, charter, and private schools in Minnesota and Wisconsin, as well as two years at a bilingual international school in Vienna, Austria. I also have a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction and Social Studies Education, minoring in Human Rights, from the University of Minnesota. Broadly, my research interests include Holocaust, genocide, and human rights education in PreK-12 curricula and classrooms. Situated within the burgeoning field of settler colonial studies, my research examines settlerness in genocide education in the United States and Canada. I use he/him/his pronouns
