About George Drazenovic

George is an entrepreneur with a track record of incubating start-up ventures in a variety of sectors, including alternative energy, pharmaceuticals, and natural resources/ precious metals. As a Director, CFO and consultant for numerous junior publicly traded companies, he brings business development and securities regulatory experience on the Canadian and US Exchanges, and has raised tens of millions of dollars in capital for early stage acquisitions and work exploration programs. More recently, George is the CEO of St. James Gold Corp, a TSX V and OTCQB listed gold exploration company with assets in the Yukon Territory and Newfoundland. He has also focused on the acquisition, and financing of assets in the US Mountain States, including the Paradox Basin (Utah), Clayton and Railroad Valleys (Nevada), and Cobalt Belt (Idaho) with a focus on gold, lithium, cobalt and vanadium. George’s financial reporting experience also includes roles with private and crown corporations including one of North America's premier utility organizations where he evaluated, structured, and promoted wind, wave, and battery technology opportunities. While at the utility, he was a key member of the management team responsible for implementing the outsourcing of non-core assets including back-office and support staff, which, at the time, represented one of the largest utility outsourcing agreements of its kind in North America. George holds an MBA (finance) from the University of Notre Dame, a BA (economics) from the University of BC, and is a member in good standing with the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC (CPA, CGA) and the Vancouver Society of Chartered Financial Analysts. He has been a featured lecturer for the CFA program and has taught at various post-secondary institutions specializing in fixed income securities, financial statement and credit analysis, derivatives and corporate finance. Currently, George is the Department Chair of the Arts, Communications and Social Sciences Undergraduate Program at University Canada West, one of Canada's fastest growing Education Institutions, and has taught Managerial Accounting, and Security Analysis in its MBA program.
