Background
About George Harrison
George Harrison realizes the breaking stages are so important. Babies need an experienced rider with patience and experience. With 30 plus years of experience George has perfected his techniques in developing two year olds. By not only riding them as babies, but also exercise riding the two year olds, when they arrive at the race tracks each spring. George is proud of his services and his dedication to help produce winners. Each year he performs the same routine with little or no differential. Throughout his expe- riences he has needed to alter his procedures mildly to accommodate horses and their less than favorable behavioral challenges. Never the less he has seen these behaviors before and has a perfectly non abusive change of process for every situation. His patience is equal to none other and his calming effect on a horse is credited to the fact that it is him on there back. George teaches every horse what is expected of them, and skillfully brings out that winning attitude. George gives young horses that “want to win attitude” and “desire to please” that every horse has inside them. George’s honesty, integrity, and communication skills are outstanding. Lameness prevention by daily maintenance is the key to keeping your horse on the track. I'm a big believer in daily body and leg rubbing even on yearlings. It is at the breaking stages of training that young horses are so susceptible to non-reversible injuries. George also understands each horse's needs for developing muscle and stride, there is more to riding than just going around in circles. Collecting a horse and helping it use itself properly is only acquired by years of experience. Experiences include Over 30 years of unsurpassed race horse experience Licensed Trainer or Assistant since 1982 Large stable management Hands on experience in multiple graded stakes Multiple winners from first time starters at Keeneland, Belmont, Saratoga Horsemanship, Communication, Integrity Yearling Sales
