I'm passionate about the news industry. I'm extremely worried about how newspapers, and the work they do have been marginalized in recent years. I truly believe that newspapers are our country's fourth estate! Currently I'm the host of a true crime podcast Diamond State: Murder Board and I'm a writer for Talk Business & Politics, one of the largest multi-platform media organizations in the mid-south. I recently wrote a book,"Witches in West Memphis," a comprehensive insider's look into the notorious West Memphis Three case. It chronicles how three men fought the Arkansas judicial system for nearly two decades after they were convicted in the heinous murders of three 8-year-old boys in West Memphis in 1993. I've written more news stories about this case than any other journalist in the world. I've interviewed every single person involved in this case. I also included the unsolved murder of a college student near the town of Melbourne, Ark, in 2004, and a story about a teen who falsely confessed to the murder of an 11-year-old girl near Gosnell, Ark, in 2013. These stories, although unrelated to the West Memphis Three, play a relevant role in my true crime book. Since then I've written two more true crime books,"The Creek Side Bones" and "Whispers in the Willows." Both are anthology style books that cover a multitude of murder cases I've written about through the years.
