About George Layne

Since graduating with a degree in Global Media Production I have been working freelance. This has given me 5 year experience as a deliverer of both photographic and video content. I have become adept in the creative, practical and business aspects of the media industry. I understand the importance of considerable planning at the pre-production stage, keeping to strict deadlines, and the value of maintaining good client relations. My ultimate goal is to work as a hands-on photographer and videographer, primarily for documentaries. I get a good buzz when working under pressure and I enjoy a fast-paced working environment. I take an immersive approach to projects, with an endeavour to understand every aspect of the subject. For example, earlier this year I travelled to Kiev to document the aftermath of the revolution, and in August I completed the ‘Camino de Santiago’. Both of these personal experiences were in pursuit of a better understanding of their significance. I’m very enthusiastic, especially when given the opportunity to learn new skills and being thrown into challenges.
