About George Levy
George Damon Levy has been the President of the 501(c)(3) Motorsports Hall of Fame of America since 2019. Located in Daytona Beach, the Hall is unique in that it honors all forms of motorized competition. That also makes it the most exclusive, for it only inducts one person in each category of racing each year. Some refer to its annual induction ceremonies as the "Oscars of racing." The Hall's museum on the grounds of Daytona International Speedway welcomes visitors each year. A lifelong motorhead, George began his career at Autoweek, where he rose to editor at 27. In the past 10 years, George has written several award-winning books on racing, including "Can-Am 50th Anniversary (2016)," a retrospective on the original (1966-74) SCCA Can-Am series,"F1 Mavericks: The Men and Machines that Revolutionized Formula 1 Racing (2019)," and "Texas Legend: Jim Hall and his Chaparrals (2024)."
