About George Limbert

Back in 2013, as a wide-eyed 18-year-old Englishman, I traveled to the U.S to begin my freshman year in small-town Missouri. I had been offered a soccer scholarship to join one of the best programs in the country, and I had finally achieved my long-term goal of simply playing soccer full-time. Four scintillating years later, with too many stories & experiences to tell, I walked the stage to get my hands on a well-earned piece of paper. Of course, lessons were learned along the way. I developed many skills while studying both mass communication and English. I developed an equal amount of skills by living alone, miles from home. From there I moved to Tennessee where I was hired as a Graduate Assistant in the soccer program. I began coaching full-time while studying for my master's. As a coach, I relied on my leadership, confidence, and communication skills. It was an incredibly enjoyable job for me, one I found difficult to disconnect from. In this role, I was given a huge amount of responsibility relative to my experience. Don't get me wrong, I did a huge amount of hands-on coaching, possibly more than I expected to do. However, I was given tasks in many other roles such as finances, recruitment, marketing, and administration. I graduated in 2019 with my master's of education. I feel that this period in my life was extremely important, as more than ever my ability to adapt and learn quickly was being put to the test. After graduation, I moved to East Tennessee with my lovely wife, Lauren, and started my current position with Schmid Construction. Here I am responsible for many different aspects of the business. This includes management & leadership, accounting, time management & scheduling, communications, marketing, website development, and social media accounts among many other things.
