About George Lozon

I began working full time for Doner in 1998 after having worked five years freelance on the Mazda account with Foote, Cone and Belding in Newport Beach CA. I was working with David Stokes & Tony Timov at FCB, then to Doner. My work experience began with Jim McKiernanon at McKiernan Studio/Studio M on accounts such as Yamaha, Toyota, Warner Brothers, Disney and Upper Deck. In 2003 I transferred from Doner's Newport Beach office to my hometown of Detroit with the opportunity to manage the Creative Service Studio at Doner's main office in Southfield. Doner has a very successful intern program set up within CSS to introduce students directly into the real world of Advertising. Doner has many interns working full or part time in positions designed to test their creativity and work ethic. My experience includes more than 25 years in advertising, beginning with long-lost traditional methods of developing and producing advertising artwork. Evolving from the very beginning of working with Macs to where we're at now. I make every effort to enhance client and internal presentation boards, comps, folding dummies, etc. with a quick, clean, neat and professional eye toward perfection. Personal accomplishments include winning two gold medals in the 1976 "Royal Canadian Henley Regatta" for both Jr. and Sr. 145 lb four w/cox. I have also competed in three 26-mile marathons and multiple (way too many to count) 10K's. In 1975 while living in Arizona I challenged myself by running down into the Grand Canyon and out again from the north rim to the south rim in 6 hrs 20 min. I'm the proud father of three beautiful grown daughters (I delivered all three at home. No doctor or midwife.) and six grandchildren, all of whom reside in Southern California. Michigan's a beautiful coastal State and I love to drive the open highways and winding backroads every chance I get. Compared to California's traffic nightmare its pure bliss!
