George Madrid is accomplished in many disciplines including geology (hydrogeology), geophysics (applied), environmental engineering (surface and groundwater contamination), geography (geographic information systems and image processing). George's special expertise lies in the implementation and application of image processing with geographic information systems to model and analyze scientific and engineering problems with a strong geospatial component. This includes the development of visualization techniques and online map products that explore spatial-temporal processes that may lie at the root of clients' issues and problems. He is particularly interested and well-versed in problems that occur in environmental and civil engineering, geophysics, hydrology, geographic land use/land change, analytic predictive marketing models and econometric and disease mapping models. George also has experience with developing new online map services and working with large spatial databases commonly used in marketing science and Big Data.
