About George McGee

After Graduating at the top of my classes in both GCSE's and A-Levels, I have worked as a decorated Laboratory Technician at Glass Technology Services for the past 3 years with my time being split between the Emissions Monitoring Team to now working Full-Time in our In house laboratories. In this I have developed a fantastic range of skills from Technology IT Skills, to Laboratory skills and Quality Assurance Skills. As part of my role, I am keen to ensure a clean, safe and friendly work space, allowing me to get the best out of myself but others also, as working as part of a team is something I really value and enjoy. I started as an Apprentice at Glass Technology Services, and after 2 years of hard work and determination, I achieved a Distinction* in a Level 3 Laboratory Technician role, finishing not just at the top of my class, but early too. I hope moving onwards I can complete more training to advance my already growing skill set, and further help businesses to grow and succeed. I believe in the more you learn, the better you succeed. So to put this quote into practice, I am a fully Trained First-Aid-Responder, a certified PAT Tester, a member of both Calibration and Ordering Teams for an entire company and actively aim to take part in any interesting opportunities that I am presented with. As an individual away from work, I have represented Great Britain at both Under 14's and Under 18's in competitive Ice Hockey, and now use my spare time as a junior Coach to encourage a younger age to get into the sport. This is something that is extremely important to me and helps me develop as a person individually to achieve the best I possibly can.
