About George Michaelides

George has been involved in field exploration programs for at least 20 years and has worked in and conducted various levels of field geochemistry, Drilling, remote sensing and exploration programs in Venezuela, Botswana, Angola, Congo (DRC), Russia, India, Senegal, Nigeria, Norway South Africa and Mali. He is currently Exploration Manager for Kodal Minerals( Mali Lithium projects). His last position with Oranto Petroleum where he spent 5 years as senior exploration geologist / General manager for West African hard rock exploration. He was based in Senegal, prospecting for Iron, Copper and other base metals well as gold. He was also conducting exploration programs for Tantalite and gold in Nigeria, as well as various desktop studies on licenses held in Guinea, Mail, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Ivory Coast. George single handedly carried copper exploration activities in Senegal from Green Fields to Drill ready targets through the intensive use of geochemical and remote sensing exploration techniques. Previous to this he worked for SUN Mining in Russia and India, as an evaluator of diamond projects, Kimberlite and diamond exploration world-wide which included projects in Russia, India, Canada and South Africa. Previous to this he spent 16 months in the DRC working For GEM Diamonds and First African Diamonds where he evaluated existing kimberlite mines and conducted high level kimberlite exploration programs. George started his post graduate career with Trans Hex Group as project Geologist In Angola. He has a great deal of experience in remote sensing and target development and has been involved in land gravity surveys, conducted land Magnetic surveys, have been involved in numerous large scale airborne magnetic surveys, Heli-mag surveys and electro resistivity surveys. His strengths lie in the field of exploration, project Management, drilling, remote-sensing techniques and general geochemical prospecting in the remotest of locations.
