About George Mihai

I worked for more than three years at a company in Romania, initially as an AutoCAD technician engineer. Later, I collaborated with executives in the evolution of the small family-owned company to a successful business story. During these three years, I held multiple positions within the company, aiding in the creation of new departments and tools that facilitated the transition. I was directly involved in establishing departments such as Marketing, Store, Customer Service, and Warranty. Afterward, I decided to move to the UK, where I have built an intriguing career as a boat builder engineer. I quickly advanced from my initial role to Finisher Engineer and then to Dash-man Engineer, first for the 33 Line and later for the new model Squadron 58. I have experience with multiple boat models, including the Fairline F-33, Squadron 50 and 68, Phantom 65, and Targa 50. I am trained to work with various systems (Garmin, Sonos, Volvo Penta, Fusion, Miele, Humpree, Sleipner, etc.), and I’m involved in the initial testing and commissioning of equipment during what we call “The Wet Test,” where I am responsible for the initial startup, inspection, fault detection, and resolution. I am eager to evolve and develop in my career, so I am studying for a BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Bolton. Throughout all this time, I have learned to adapt and develop a strong technical foundation and problem-solving skills, in my current position at this company, I consider myself fortunate to embrace the challenges of being part of a new production line for such an exceptional product as the Squadron 58.
