Joined the Marine Corps in 1968. Served a year with the Marine Corps and then transferred out of the Marine Corps as a Lance Corporal. Entered the the Navy in 1969 and became a a Navy Corpsman. Finished my enlisted duty as a Hospital Corpsman E-5, and started undergraduate school at the University of Texas in May 1973. Completed my degree as a Registered Nurse and was commissioned as a 2nd Lt in the Air Force. Worked as a nurse in the Air Force, gaining experience in most areas of nursing and retired from the Air Force as a Major in February 1994. Went to graduate school in Legal Studies Program at Southwest Texas State University, and completed their Legal Assistant program in May 1994. Began working as a Legal Nurse Consultant in May 1994. Worked with the Whitehurst, Harkness, Ozmun lawfirm in Austin, Texas until February Began working for The Carlson Law Firm, P.C. in February I am finishing up my 2nd career, and plan on retiring from the firm at the end of August 2014.
