I have more than 35 years of diverse experience in the IT industry, progressing through technical and leadership roles in the financial, telecommunications, federal government, and mobile entertainment industries. Expertise in developing and managing client/server application software, proficient in Java, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, SQL, Spring, XML, Excel, VBA, Perl, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, Solaris, Linux, Unix, Shell scripting, PowerShell, Jira, JBoss, Tomcat, PHP, JavaScript, AWS, Apache, Git, and the entire suite of Microsoft Office products (among others). I have experience with integrating mobile solutions with legacy systems and the nuances required by the limited device real estate. I’ve worked in several software development methodologies such as waterfall and Scrum (Agile) and can be productive in either approach. I participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle and support production environments. I also develop and manage project schedules, coordinate project tasks and deliverables, maintain customer relationships, manage people, and improve business processes. I am familiar with the DevOps principles that foster great application development through collaboration with all groups involved with delivering enterprise systems. This unique combination of technical and leadership experience gives me a comprehensive understanding of the entire business enterprise – and allows me to communicate intelligently with technical and business subject matter experts and fully understand the business and financial implications of my decisions.
