In the four years that I spent working for Ace Hardware, I was able to sharpen my communication skills and more efficiently collaborate with my fellow associates. Working in a small, tight-knit environment such as Ace Hardware, I formed valuable relationships with my coworkers and customers that would regularly visit our location. While I worked there throughout high school and part of my college career, I practiced managing my time efficiently between school and work to make sure that both obligations and expectations were met. Lastly, I pride myself on my ability and willingness to problem-solve and learn in situations that may not even fall under my job title. Working in retail there were so many situations where a prompt and swift response to a customer or fellow associate resulted in the bettering of their experience. I believe this made the relationship between myself, fellow associates and customers must healthier and more neighborly. When I ended my time for Ace Hardware I left as an individual who was able to fill many positions and help out where ever needed. Specifically, I was proficient as a cashier, head cashier, paint tech, sales associate, and service tech at the "helpful hub". This became increasingly useful as we entered the Pandemic and never knew would be able to show up for work.
