About George Walker

I am currently a Genius at Apple, a musician, freelance videographer and photographer, and passionate gamer. I am industrious, inquisitive and take tremendous attention to detail. I value accountability, transparency, and thoroughness, and pride myself on clarity of communication, honesty and diplomacy. I am an excellent team member, with much experience working in tightknit teams, and managing broader and more diverse teams. As an active musician, I graduated with First Class Honours in my Creative Musicianship degree at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance. I have recording and production experience with Logic Pro. I am a self-taught videographer and photographer with a number of creative projects to my name including music videos, album artwork design, promotional portraits, and live event documentary, and corporate internal-use promotional materials. I use Final Cut, Lightroom, Photoshop, and am currently learning 3D modelling and animation in Blender, all of which has been self-taught. Additionally, my video production skills have led me to direct and produce numerous internal-use videos for various promotional applications within Apple. In my tenure with my current employer, I have assumed a range of different roles and responsibilities. Through diversifying beyond the normal expectations of roles, I have collaborated with and integrated into nearly every department, across inventory, sales, technical support and leadership. I am highly technically certified within Apple, having completed extensive training courses and exams, performing macOS and iOS troubleshooting, and hardware repairs and service on all Mac and iPhone devices. Through all this, I have learned a range of different skills including team management, data analysis of department performance, scheduling and project planning, and mentorship of new team members. In a technical environment, attention to detail, comprehensive knowledge of process and understanding the causality of an action is of paramount importance, and it’s a discipline I have refined over my years in technical service at Apple. I pride myself on being proactive and accountable, and take my learning upon myself, having self-directed learning the use of numerous creative applications listed above in my own time, in addition to many internal Apple applications varying across a range of different uses. My track record and experience shows I am a technically-literate, self-sufficient fast learner.
