About George Wright

I am a diversity and inclusion professional with over 20 years of HR and management experience, most recently specialising in disability inclusion, and am passionate about inclusion for everyone! I'm experienced in advising organisations how to support disabled colleagues at every stage of the employee lifecycle and disabled customers at every touch point of their journey. During my experience in house and as a consultant I have supported a wide range of organisations with varying degrees of complexity in the commercial, public and non-profit sectors. I am passionate about helping all organisations be inclusive and accessible to everyone, having lived experience of several disabilities. With a master’s level CIPD qualification and ongoing CPD I like to keep up to date with current thinking in the EDI sphere. I have successfully built relationships and influenced at all levels, delivering various projects involving organisational restructures, cultural change programmes and consultancy. These have been in conjunction with organisations, internal networks and union representatives. Specialisms include managing complex ER cases related to protected characteristics and I have sound employment law knowledge. I love working towards implementing positive change and best practise through collaboration, consultation and analysis. I am comfortable working independently and collaboratively; loving a challenge and the quest for consistent improvement. I am passionate about getting the best out of everyone that I work with and creating environments where everyone can thrive. Outside of work I am proud to have held an Advisory Board Member role for an LGBTQ+ organisation and take part in various volunteer activities.
