About Georges Moraitis

Previous: Georges is a Manager with Grant Thornton’s Corporate and Infrastructure Advisory team. He advises corporate clients on mergers and acquisitions. He also provides infrastructure advisory services, including public-private partnerships, to government authorities and private sector participants. Georges advised on merger and acquisition deals in manufacturing, high-tech and charter airline sectors. On the infrastructure side, he has advised and contributed analysis on mandates in the energy, transportation and health sectors in Canada and the United States. Georges also provides financial modeling development services to clients operating in a wide range of sectors. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, he was with CIBC’s Mid-Market Investment Banking team. While there, he was providing services to private companies valued between $10M and $150M. These services included advisory roles on divestitures, acquisitions and management buyouts as well as capital raises and leveraged recapitalisations. Georges also has prior experience as a Derivatives Analyst on the trading floor at National Bank of Canada. In this capacity, he designed new solutions and optimized financial models geared to aid traders in the decision-making process with regards to complex financial derivative products.
