As a Vaults & Conservation Technician at the British Film Institute, I worked with a team of film archivists to safeguard and conserve the UK's film heritage. I handled, inspected, and stored film materials, and contributed to the development and implementation of best practices and standards for film conservation. I participated in major cataloguing and collection relocation projects.I have a passion for film history and culture, which I pursued through my education and previous roles. I have experience as a Programme & Screenings Coordinator for the BFI London Film Festival, where I assisted with the scheduling, delivery, and presentation of films, and in multiple collections roles at the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia, where I prepared, digitised, catalogued, conserved, and stored collection items.My core competencies include film identification, film festival coordination, effective communication, and audiovisual collection management. I am motivated by the opportunity to preserve and share the stories of diverse communities and audiences through the medium of film.
