About Georgia Patterson

Being a self-starter, I have challenged myself both inside and outside the classroom. I have studied diverse topics and methodologies to broaden my knowledge and skills while in school and in industry. Having spent time as both a student and professional, I have learned to look at a problem from many angles and how to manage multiple commitments, including research, design, education, teaching, and leading. I earned a Bachelor's and Master's in engineering from The University of Alabama. While at Alabama, I participated in both engineering and business-based projects, worked with multiple departments, performed undergraduate research involving soft-exosuits in the soft robotics laboratory, actively participated in various honors societies, and performed graduate research and analysis into the field of artificial gravity. As my professional interests have expanded, so too has my drive to be a results-oriented individual who is capable of communicating technical information in a precise and convincing manner to both technical and non-technical personnel alike. I believe my background and experiences set me up to reach for the stars in all I do.
