About Georgie Boyd

In my previous role as a Teaching, Learning, and Student Support (TLSE) Intern with the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Manchester, I embodied my passion for enhancing the student experience and supporting their academic journeys. With a strong background in student outreach and communication, I developed the skills to effectively engage with diverse student populations and create an inclusive environment that fosters growth and development. During my time at the University of Manchester, I successfully contributed to initiatives that improved student engagement and satisfaction, including organizing events and workshops that address student needs and promote a sense of community. My experience in the Higher Education sector has equipped me with the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and stakeholders, ensuring that student voices are heard and valued. Looking ahead, I am eager to leverage my skills and experience to make a meaningful impact in the areas of social mobility and charity work or continue contributing to the Higher Education sector. I am particularly interested in initiatives that promote equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their background, and help bridge the gap between education and social mobility.
