Georgie Rayner (nee Kay) arrived in the real estate industry via an organic chain of events mapped across her professional life. Her combined skills and interests demonstrate a unique coalescence of design, hospitality, travel and educational experiences to inform a fresh perspective on the industry. Georgie’s academic background navigates both Business Administration (BA University of Tasmania) and Hospitality (Dip. Drysdale Hospitality College), two inter-related vocations which ultimately led to her establishment of Melbourne-based events management brand Georgeous Occasions in 2006. Mediating between client relationships, project management, budgets, timelines and outstanding design, Georgeous seamlessly facilitated an eminent portfolio of private and commercial events over two decades, leading to its recognition as a national brand synonymous with style and service. The company amassed multiple awards and press features throughout renown design-focused publications including The Design Files, Est Living and The Grace Tales. In 2017, Georgie returned to her home state of Tasmania to shift focus to her young family, simultaneously managing Georgeous Occasions while continuing to evolve her passion for combining real estate and design through two highly successful Airbnb ventures in Melbourne and Hobart. These spaces have also clarified Georgie’s love of narrative, using interior design as a vehicle for storytelling, and highlighting its ability to forge connections between people and place. Georgie brings to real estate a profound respect for Tasmania, its people and its built environment.
