About Georgie Stoops

As an Intensive Care Nurse for over 20 years, I am passionate about utilizing evidence-based practice and research and medical innovations along with new technologies to optimize patient outcomes. I am certified as a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, and I have expertise in cardiovascular critical care, medical intensive care, and Level 1 trauma critical care. In addition to my clinical role, I am also passionate about nursing education and leadership. I have a Master's degree in Nursing Education, and I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Nurse Specialist. I have over 10 years of experience in developing curriculums for new grads in a critical care environment and in the classroom as a clinical assistant professor. As a clinical lead at a 600+ bed hospital I have annually exceeded recruitment and retention goals set forth by administration. I have strong communication and problem-solving skills, responsible for leading and directing the day-to-day operations of a large organization and its customer base.
