About Ger Thor

I have worked in the educational field for over 8+ years. My first job I worked for was Teaching Fellows nd there, we helped develop enrichment, academic lessons and assist students with assignments. After working for Teaching Fellows, I became employed with the Fresno County Superintendent Of Schools and worked as a paraprofessional for 5 years and site lead for 3 years as an Expanding Learning Program Site Lead. I oversee eight staffs and over 120+ students during the after school program. We also work closely with the school administration team. We implement enrichment sessions (engaging/interactive activities), academic sessions, physical activities. I also complete budget lines, purchase orders for the program and in charge of fundraisers and field trips. While still working as a site lead, I also worked as a para professional for 2 years as a one-on-one aid in insisting students with their class assignments through Fresno Unified. I became a long term substitute for FUSD as a Social Studies teacher and am now currently completing my first year as an Entertainment Technology teacher at Terronez Middle School.
