About Gerald Hanks

I'm never really happy unless I am helping others to succeed. Whether it's helping my kids with homework or volunteering in my community, I find I enjoy life best when I'm serving the interests of others. In my work I have found this same joy by focusing on the success of my colleagues. It's not enough to be personally successful in business if that business is to survive and thrive. The team as a whole needs to be successful. My consistent efforts to help others succeed have developed in me many skills that have made me a valuable asset to every business I have worked for and with.Helping business owners bridge the communication gap that all too often exists between their desires and the understandings of the IT staff; having empathy towards the needs and challenges of the business owners and the requirements and challenges of the IT staff; understanding that no one is good at everything, myself included, and knowing when to mentor others or when to humbly seek the advice and help that I need; these are just some of the foundational skills that I bring with me every day to work.Specialties: Communications, operational management, ITIL, IT architecture and infrastructure design, training and employee development.
