About Gerald Weedon

My practice is focused on litigation and business law including all aspects of construction defect litigation, representing subcontractors of all types and professionals involved in large construction projects, insurance, automobile and trucking liability, business torts, premises liability, real estate, foreclosure and banking law, products liability, contracts, corporation and estates and trusts. I am board certified by the Florida Bar in both civil and business litigation. I have practiced law with Marks Gray since 1976. I am a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association, The Florida Bar, American Bar Association, American Bar Foundation (Fellow), Jacksonville Claims Association, Defense Research Institute (a member of its Board of Directors from 2002-2005), American Board of Trial Advocates and was named by that group as “Lawyer of the Year” for 2002. I am active in the Jacksonville community. I was appointed by Governor Jeb Bush to the Board of Trustees of the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind in 2007 and served until 2015. I served on the Board of Directors of the Ronald McDonald House of Jacksonville and was its President from to 2001. I served on the Board of Governors for the University Club from 1998-2001. I was also a member of Community Relations Commission - City of Jacksonville where I served as Commissioner from 1995 to and Vice Chairman in 1998 and I was a member of the Human Rights Commission - City of Jacksonville where I served as Commissioner from and as Chair - Business and Industry Liaison Committee. I served as a member of the Jacksonville Community Council, Inc, a member of its Board from and served as its President from 2004-2005. I am a Leadership Jacksonville Alumnus and a member of St. Vincent's Hospital Foundation Ambassador Board. I was the Chairman of the Board of the Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of St. Augustine /for 2007-2008. I am a Legal Aid volunteer attorney.
