About Gerard Drum

Being passionate about smart, efficient, sustainable buildings and advanced construction techniques and processes… I would welcome the opportunity to talk to clients, asset owner, principal PM’s, consultant or constructors, about the services I can provide and solve problems holistically before they get to construction… de-risking projects early rather than being the ambulance at the bottom of the hill. Our world and humanity are facing unprecedented challenges. The construction community is not isolated from these challenges or immune to their effects. The pressures to drive ecological and human centred built environments, and find methods of achieving this, is ever more pressing and present. With over 25 years of experience in engineering, sustainability, and technology in construction, I have a passion and drive to transform the way we build. My passions led me in recent years, to complete a Masters in Sustainable Engineering. More recently I have been involved in, and researching, disruptive technologies that are transforming our industry and their potential to achieve more sustainable outcomes. My desire: to bring this knowledge and experience to bear fruit in the construction industry. I am an experienced Building Services Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the vertical and horizontal construction industry. My overall understanding of the construction process (design to completion, manage and reduce risk, sustainability and disruptive technologies, achieve better outcomes) and my ability to work with and understand a broad spectrum of stakeholders, are my strengths and attributes, and where I best add value to projects and organizations.
