I enjoy solving complex problems, strategy development, process improvement, and learning new things. I am an experienced engineer, with a diverse background in alternative energy, mining, capital portfolio management, and business. I have worked in numerous start-ups and multi-billion dollar businesses as both an employee and a consultant. Highlights of my work include: • Mechanical engineering for fuel cell systems, specializing in cooling and compressed gas delivery systems. Design of packages for manufacturing, and working with suppliers to improve performance and cost targets to meet commercialization objectives. • Mechanical engineering services for larger capital projects (>$500M) in the Mining Industry, including machine specifications, pump, compressor and pipeline sizing. Detailed definition study work to support capital approval processes. • Portfolio Management of $100M capital portfolio, including support of all project phases from Identification through to Close Out, training of new Project Mangers, and support and maintenance of project/portfolio controls and systems. • Project Management of small to medium capital projects (<$5M) in the Mining and Construction Industries. My specialties are fuel cell system design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, cooling system design, hydraulics, project and portfolio management.
