About Gerhardus Engelbrecht

Gerhard Is currently serving member of the New Zealand Police for the past 13 years and former South African Police Service. I served for 15 years with the South African Police at Riot Unit 6 and Riot unit 25 as Riot unit Platoon Leader (managing 42 members), Police Instructor, Reaction Officer, SWAT Member, SWAT Instructor, High Risk Instructor, 2IC High Risk Unit (Managing 24 members), OC High risk Training, PR24 Baton Instructor. I also served as section commander at Brakpan police station. Gerhard presented training at SA Police College, Verdrag Training Facility, Maleoskop training Facility, Koeberg Training Facility and at local district training centers in general police training issues, I served as criminalistic expert for 5 years and resign from the South African police a Inspector. Im currently the Tactical Options Trainer Team Leader for northland district in the New Zealand Police. I joined the New Zealand Police in 2005 as crime scene attendant, then became a Crime Scene Officer (SOCO) before becoming a Staff Safety Tactical trainer in Napeir. Im a certified Firearm instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, TASER X26 Instructor, TASERX2 Instructor and Master TASER Instructor. I also when required deliver firearms training to new police recruits in the Royal New Zealand Police College.
