About Germain Busto
As a neuroscientist, I study brain physiology and development. I am trying to understand the mechanisms of learning and memory and how those mechanisms are challenged by the environment (pollution) or diseases (Alzheimer's). Over the years, I successfully developed and managed several research projects and notably identified and characterized microRNAs involved in memory formation. I used a vast palette of technics, from molecular and cellular biology to behavioral analysis and including bio-informatics. Parallel to my research work, I always shared my knowledge by teaching at the university level or participating in outreach events.
