About Gerrien Anbeek

With 30 years of international experience, I have led enterprise-scale transformations across global organizations, starting as a trainee at Rabobank, Global Director Program & Change Management and expat at KPMG Consulting (Washington DC, New York City and London), and Associate Director at EY. I possess a comprehensive background in professional services and business management and my career spans both executive and interim leadership roles, working with multicultural teams to drive sustainable change and growth. As an entrepreneur, I partner with C-suite leaders in the corporate and financial sector to shape future-ready organizations - not by simply optimizing existing processes, but by reimagining their strategic direction and capabilities. My expertise spans change management, operational effectiveness, business operations, HR and leadership development, digital transformation and social innovation, with a strong focus on building high-impact, purpose-driven work environments and teams. My client portfolio includes esteemed organizations such as ABN Amro, Rabobank, ING Bank, APG, JDE Douwe Egberts, Odido, CGI, and knowledge institutions as the University of Amsterdam. I am particularly recognized for my ability to develop both people and organizations in tandem, thus creating lasting value. In addition, I serve for almost 15 years as a non-executive board member at various institutions. In this capacity I currently chair the Audit Committee of the Supervisory Board/RvT at Marnix's College, and the Innovation & Digitalization Committee and Remuneration Committee of the Examenkamer’s Non-executive Board/RvC. Furthermore, I serve on the PE Committee at the Erasmus Governance Institute, Erasmus University, and the FAC, the Financial Advisory Committee and Members’ Council of National VVAO, the Dutch Association for Women with a Higher Education. My thought leadership is featured in prominent outlets such as FD and NRC, and I am the author of a widely respected book on leadership in digital transformation in my field. I hold a BSc in Personnel & Organization and a MSc degree in General Social Sciences with a specialization in Management & Organization from Utrecht University. I completed a post-academic course on legal mediation and ADR at the University of Amsterdam and the post-academic Program for Experienced Non-Executive Board Members at Erasmus University.
